For dinner tonight I made fried chicken for my boys. I made my own fried chicken coating in my thermomix. The coating contains all the natural herbs and spices. The best part is it does not contain any preservatives. Therefore, it is healthy to consume.
400g plain flour
1 teaspoon dried tarragon
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon dried basil
2 tablespoon dried garlic granules
2 tablespoon dried onion flakes
2 tablespoons salt
8 Chicken drumsticks
I place all the herbs and spices into my nutribullet and grind them well at spend 10 for 40 seconds. I tend to increase the speed gradually.
Next, add flour and grind at speed 10 for 30 seconds.
Have a taste of mix and see whether you need to add more herbs, spice or flour.
First, dip the chicken drumsticks into the egg whisked mixture and coat them with the herbs and spice mix. You can repeat this process again to make the batter coating on the chicken crispier.
Then, place the coated chicken drumstick into a wok or pot of hot oil.
Deep fry the chicken drumsticks until they well-cooked and golden brown.
Once it is done place the homemade fried chicken on a big serving plate with paper towel on it to soak the excess oil.
