Easy Peasy Fried Brown Rice

In order to make a good fried rice, it is best to use overnight cooked rice. I use my Buffalo Smart Cooker to cook the rice a day before I make my fried rice. Buffalo Smart Cooker makes fluffy delicious brown rice. It has a brown rice function. Therefore, you do not need to soak your brown rice before cooking. I normally use 3 cups of brown rice with 4 cups of water. It takes about 75 minutes to cook the brown rice.

Ingredients:

1 egg

3 tablespoons of oil

A handful of baby spinach

3 cloves of chopped garlic

1 brown onions diced

4 pieces of rindless bacon sliced finely

1 teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon of pepper

1 teaspoon of chicken stock powder.  I used the Massel Chicken stock powder. It is natural, gluten free and no added MSG

Methods:

In order to make the fried rice golden in colour, crack an egg into the cooked cool brown rice.

Using a spatula mix the egg well with the rice.

In the meantime, heat up the oil in a wok and saute the garlic, onions and the bacon until aromatic

Next, add the rice and baby spinach into the work and stir-fry it until the mixed peas are probably cooked

Finally, add the salt, pepper and chicken stock powder. Give it a good stir-fry until everything is evenly mixed

Fried rice is best to serve warm and cooked over high heat.

Notes:

You can actually add any ingredients that you like when you make fried rice. But these ones are classic and always go down well with my family.

No more takeaway fried rice. Make your own easy-peasy fried brown rice. It is healthier and you save money cooking your own food.
